NOTICE OF TRUSTEE ELECTION CANCELLATION
WHEREAS, the number of candidates filing a Declaration of Intent and Oath of Candidacy for the open trustee position on the Hot Springs School Board of Trustees, District No. 14J, Sanders County, State of Montana is equal to or less than the number of positions to be elected, the trustee election is not necessary.
THEREFORE, the necessary 30 day notice is hereby given that the Hot Springs School District No. 14J, Sanders County, State of Montana, Trustee Election is cancelled.

Good Luck to our Hot Springs FFA Chapter at the State Competition in Billings. All Juniors and Parents, Reach Higher of Montana will be here for a Parents Night on Thursday at 6PM in the High School Library. They will be discussing the FAFSA, scholarships, preparing for your SENIOR year and much more. See you there.
Couple reminders...Thursday, March 28, 2024 is a REMOTE LEARNING DAY. All students will be given a packet or have instruction/assignment on Google Classroom. If you have any questions, please contact your teacher. Also, Monday, April 1, 2024, there is NO SCHOOL. Enjoy your Easter Break!!!

DECLARATION OF INTENT AND OATH OF CANDIDACY FORMS FOR SCHOOL TRUSTEE CANDIDATES FOR THE FOLLOWING SCHOOL DISTRICTS ARE BEING ACCEPTED BY THE DISTRICT CLERK FOR EACH SCHOOL DISTRICT. DEADLINE TO FILE IS THURSDAY, MARCH 28, 2024 AT 5:00PM.

One (1) 3-year position
Declaration of Intent and Oath of Candidacy forms are available, on the Hot Springs School website: http://hssdmt.org, or by contacting Carmen Jackson at 406-741-2964 or by writing: Carmen Jackson, Hot Springs School District #14, PO Box 1005, Hot Springs, MT 59845. Declaration of Intent and Oath of Candidacy forms must be filed with the District Clerk.
A Trustee candidate must be elected from among the registered electors qualified to vote at the School Board Elections in the Hot Springs School District. The candidate must be a registered voter in Sanders County and live in the district in which they are seeking to hold a position.
If the number of candidates is equal to or less than the number of positions to be elected for that District, the Election Administrator may cancel the election in accordance with 20-3-313 MCA.
