Dear Parents and Guardians:
On September 14, 2021, the District was notified that a staff member had tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member was last in the District on September 9, 2021. For any students or staff at risk of exposure, the Sanders County Health Department has been in contact with those persons to determine a safe and appropriate course of action.
It is recommended that any person who feels ill seek out their medical provider for specific instructions. Hot Springs School District 14-J is in ongoing contact with the Sanders County Health Department and reviews the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance to ensure a safe environment for our students and staff.
The Hot Springs Early K/Prekindergarten will be closed for the week of September 20, 2021 (Monday through Thursday, 9/20-9/23). School officials will continue to monitor health-related events in the District and will provide prompt information when such occur.

On September 11, 2021, the District was notified that an elementary student had tested positive for COVID-19. The student last attended school on September 9, 2021. In addition, on September 11, 2021, the District was notified that a high school teacher student had tested positive for COVID-19. The teacher was last in the school on September 9, 2021. For any students or staff at risk of exposure, the Sanders County Health Department will be or has been in contact with those persons to determine a safe and appropriate course of action. It is recommended that any person who feels ill seek out their medical provider for specific instructions. Hot Springs School District 14-J is in ongoing contact with the Sanders County Health Department and reviews the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance to ensure a safe environment for our students and staff.
School officials will continue to monitor health-related events in the District, and will provide prompt information when such occur. The student last attended school on September 8, 2021, and there are several close contacts being contacted and quarantined at this time. In addition, for any students or staff at risk of exposure, the Sanders County Health Department has been in contact with those persons to determine a safe and appropriate course of action. It is recommended that any person who feels ill seek out their medical provider for specific instructions.
